Topic tags/keywords: router bosch collet removal

Morning- Rookie here trying to change out collet from 1/4” to 1/2” and I cannot seem to get the Collet out of the nut. I do not want to damage it and the manual only talks about the two components, not how to separate them, appreciate the help!

not sure about the Bosch, but my Porter Cable collets each have their own nut on them—they don’t come apart.

You don’t need to remove them. They each have their own nuts. Unscrew the nut from the router spindle and the nut/collet comes off. Replace with the new one.

I hope the collet is still intact.
