Ahhhhhh, a sigh of relief after my first day back working for the Carpenters Union :)

I missed it I did. I had my surgery and then started working at the HD. For 10.25/hr. But the hours were dropping so I went and payed my dues and got back to work 2 days later. For $23/hr. I’m currently working for a contractor who does cabinets and cabinet installation ( my favourite field to be in). Hard work and good money doing what I love, can’t get better than that. Unless I won the lottery. No more walkin with the orange apron. I got the tools wrapped around the waist again :)

My dad told me years ago 8hrs is 8hrs if you are working for $5.00 or $50.00 an hour.
I worked for the Carpenters Union for 16yrs untill I blew out 2 disks in my low back.

Glad to hear you are back to the work you like to do and the heck with HD.

Good on you Mark, it’s so much easier going to work when you love your work.
