I almost bought one of these last month but backed down at the last minute. Let me know how it goes and maybe you could blog the setting-up process as well as how you like using it if you go through with it. -- Check out my new website! http://www.theeasellife.com |

I would also be interested in how you like it I have their angle guage, and the one for the planer. Both work great. He will be coming out with a digital protractor later this month. -- Gary, East TX -- The longest journey begins with a single step. |

I have added this to my saw and would’nt be without it. I use a software package to assist in breaking down sheets of plywood and it’s output is in 3 decimal places so, now I don’t have to do the conversion. Just get it close (+/- .01”) and cut. -- Come on in, the beer is cold and the wood is dry. www.crookedlittletree.com |

I wish I’d seen this post a week ago, as I just installed one on my table saw this week and could could have taken video or at least photos of the installation. But as motthunter said it was super easy to install and set up. My initial experience with it has been extremely positive. If you haven’t used other Wixey gauges or calipers recently, you’ll love the “exact fractions” readout; it shows the decimal reading all the time but when you hit any of the standard fractional measures (I can’t remember off hand whether it goes down to 32nds or 64ths), it shows the fraction as well—no switching back and forth like in the first fraction display calipers that hit the market. It’s also super easy to re-calibrate when you change blades. No promises, but I’ll try to make a short vid or at least take some pics and post them soon. |
