I have one of those central machine lathes & I need to find a chuck for it.
The threads are 5/8 11 threads per inch, does anyone know where I can find of these

Which model is that? The 5/8-11 thread seems quite odd, and doesn’t map to any Central Machinery lathe I am familiar with.

FWIW, The #34706 (the Jet JWL1236 clone) uses a 1” 8TPI thread insert.

Penn State Industries sells a decent 4 jaw chuck with jumbo jaws for $89.95 + S&H.

I have the same chuck from Woodcraft under their Wood River brand and have been very happy with it…

If indeed that is 5/8 – 11 thread, you are going to have to find a thread adapter to a standard chuck…

Which lathe is that. I have the heavy cast iron one and had no trouble at all getting a chuck.
