Topic tags/keywords: timber frame timberframe post and beam blog homestead question

Hey everyone—
Some years back I ran across a blog that documented a man and his wife’s journey of building a timber frame home from scratch, and largely by themselves. The blog thoroughly documented most of the stages—designing, fabricating the timbers, excavating and pouring the foundation, plumbing, electric, etc.
They lived somewhere on the east coast, where he did some apprenticing in timber framing in addition to his corporate job. One anecdote is about how he actually built the frame on the east coast (where he lived previously), loaded the timbers on a semi-trailer, drove them to the new home site somewhere out west, only to have the timbers too warped to assembly.
At any rate the blog was really fascinating and unfortunately I’ve lost the blog address. Anyone familiar with this blog???
Thank you!
