Topic tags/keywords: ideas projects

I’ve finished my most recent project (nesting tables shown in the picture) and need a new project. I’ve built many things for the family and nobody really needs more furniture. I’ve donated a few things to charity auctions but they only happen in the summer around here.

Any ideas??

Yeah, I need a new wall unit entertainment center. Eight feet in width and 7’ 8” height. 52” TV centered at 50”. I prefer walnut but cherry is also acceptable. Thanks in advance.

I would suggest you get a decent wood lathe if you don’t have one. That will open up a whole new world of woodworking Project on the lathe get finished a whole lot faster than flat or cabinet work! Instant gratification and the sky is the limit for projects!!!!!!!!!!

cheers, Jim

Something that would sell well? A pendulum wall clock perhaps. You’ need to do your homework though.

Sounds like you might want to lean towards smaller projects so that when you give them as gifts they don’t take up too much space? You might just start browsing through the LJ Editor’s choice or Daily Top 3 projects for inspiration.

A few things that come to mind:
Decorative Boxes, jewelry boxes,
Get a lathe and learn to turn bowls or pens
Flag cases you can donate to your Local VFW or other veterans groups to give to veteran’s families
Toys for Christmas charities
Holiday decorations for family or to donate to various charities for holiday fund raising drives
