Hello, I have been seeing on here that some of you use Waterloxs. Does it hold up as good as poly for kitchen tables?

I had trouble with it on a wood vanity top. I used the semi-gloss can. I couldn’t get it as smooth as poly. It scratches fairly easy too. I sanded black walnut down to 220 and brushed 5 coats on it. It looks alright but if I did it again I would do poly.

I think it is a great looking finish, but not as durable as poly.
It also smells strong for weeks or even months after it is applied.
I think you can also put poly over Waterlox but have to wait until it cures completely.
