Hi. New woodworker here. This is my first drill press and I am not very familiar on how to operate them besides flip on, drill wood. If anyone could help me I’d appreciate it.
I bought this drill press used and it didn’t come with a manual. You change the gears by winding a handle on the top of the drill. When i try to change the gears there is a large amount of resistance and I’m worried that I should be loosening something or I’m missing a step you are supposed to so before changing gears?

Hello kim, you may have to change speeds when the drill press is running. Go to the OWWM site and look up your particular model and make of press, you’ll probably find one just like yours there and you can download the manual.
