I posted this in another message, but I figured I’d share it for more people to see.

A hint for future projects when trying to match colors of teams, brands, schools, etc…

Google the name, color, and Pantone. For example, I googled “Michigan State Green Pantone”, and got: stating Michigan Green is Pantone 567.

Pantone is a nearly universal color matching system used in all forms of advertising. Many companies and organizations share the info for their vendors. Home Depot’s, and most other color mixing systems recognize Pantone color numbers.

Try it! “coke red pantone” “at&t blue pantone”...

I recall that one of my previous employer’s logo was listed as “Warm Red Pantone #5”, and was laser cut. My last employer’s logo color was “Pantone #66” (I think), with a call out for the font, which I don’t recall. Having the whole list is “good to know” information. Thanks!

Many organizations provide font information on the same documents where colors are listed.

This stuff can be very handy for builders of tailgating gear, models, alma-matter, charity, or memorial items.
