I agree the Jefferies is a good supplier. If they don’t have what you want they will generally order it for you. I think they are a bit pricy but then I think everything is pricey these days.

It’s the only game in town for wood if you want something other than what the building supply companies have, or the BB’s have. They were very helpful and non-pushy to me. Big plus.

I have been to Jefferies. They have a very good selection of wood, but are very expensive. I normally buy my wood at local area mills with kilns. Sometimes, they may not have the exact species you are looking for, but on the other hand, I have been able to special order woods. At present, I have about 150 BF of 12/4 white oak in a local mill’s kiln drying. The price of this wood is about $1.25 a BF. pkennedy

Chiefk-can you identify the local mills you have been using? I like to use them also but being new to the area, I’m not familiar with the locals.

I knew of a few mills in the area, but I was unaware of any mills with a kiln. Please let us know who that is! I’d love to get of some white oak.
