I read the post in the Feedback forum. I like the way this place evolves. Thanks!

I bought some western cedar from a fence supply retail/wholesale dealer and made some small boxes with it today. It is not the fence boards i used but the 2” X 3” wood used to build the frame for wooden fences. I glued up two pieces and cut some 2” deep boxes from them. After applying the first coat of finish it looks just like Mahogony! Pretty and dark wood. Soft, cheap, and easy to cut on my scroll saw.

Very nice. I have just got into woodworking , My wife is a butterfly nut and that’s pretty nice. I haven’t made even my first project yet as I have been spending all my time viewing woodworking projects. Nice project.
