Topic tags/keywords: question lathe finishing

So, since recently upgrading my lathe and building a new stand, I’m working on incorporating some dust collection. I haven’t seen this mentioned anywhere, but I was curious: when running the vac/dust collector at the lathe while applying a CA finish, is there any cause for concern regarding the CA fumes being sucked up/building up inside the collector? I know they’re rather obnoxious to smell, but didn’t know if they were potentially hazardous in terms of combustion, etc.

With continuous air flow in the dust collector and the amount of CA used you don’t need to worry about combustion hazards.

Thanks for the response, John!

I figured it was likely ok, but didn’t want to be the one to find out otherwise. If I’m going to destroy my house, I’d rather it be from my poor remodeling attempts than a fumes accident.
