Happy Canada Day to all my fellow Canadian Lumberjocks!

I hope we all get a chance to really appreciate what an incredible country we live in and to make a whole bunch of sawdust today :-)

Thanks Mark,
And Happy Canada Day to all Canadians on LJ’s. And all the rest have a good day also. We will be enjoying fireworks this evening, and ‘til then I am painting the exterior doors on the house. We are a couple of lame ducks here, I am just recovering from by-pass surgery, and my wife is hobbling around on a new knee. Havn’t got my boat in the water yet, and may not this year.

Pardon my ignorance. I always thought Canada Day was July 2nd. Apparently, I was wrong.

Regardless, I have a great deal of respect for Canada and many Canadian friends. You have a beautiful country. Congratulations to all Canadian LJs.

Hopefully, this is a day off from work and a day for extra shop time.

Happy Canada Day to all my Fellow Canadian LJ’s AND Most Certainly….. Thank You to all the American LJ’s who have expressed their Well Wishes To Us and Our Wonderful Country.

In this Day and Age of Wars, Wars and more Wars ….OUR TWO Great Countries Co-Exist (I LIKE that word!) like…Oh Now I’m stuck for a Comparison ….. How about Hot Dogs & Mustard OR Ketchup if you prefer.

RICH: You’re anything but Ignorant! AND …You are NOT wrong! If July 1st. falls on a Sunday then Canada Day is Celebrated on July 2nd! (Previously known as Dominion Day)

So! You can head on home right after School’s out. Your Detention has been Cancelled!!

To Our Charming Young Lady LJ Liz ….. A little advanced Notice next time please, so Mark and I can make it down there. I’ve heard that “Michiganites” are the BEST when it comes to Parties! Double WEEEEEEEEE!!

Rick, I believe Canada Day is July 1st no matter what day it falls on.

Am I mistaken?

Is July 4th on the 5th if it is on Sunday?

Regardless, hope everyone is having a great weekend!

How fast is your Horse Randy?? ;-}

While Canada Day IS July 1st. It has to do with Official Holidays, Bank Holidays etc. I also said it was “CELEBRATED” on the second. This year (Actually Being on and Celebrated on the 1st.) my Neighbours also used Friday (Today) to extend THEIR Holiday Celebrations into 4 days, as it appears that none are at work.

I also Googled, Wikipedia, Gov’t Of Canada Official Holidays, BEFORE I made the statements I made above. I did that because Rich had asked the Question and peaked my Curiosuty. i.e. It was more than just an “Off The Cuff” statement on my part.

As for your second question? Perhaps you’d be better off asking our American Friends about that seeing as how Sunday, Juy 4th. is “Independence Day” in the U.S.A. if that’s what you were reffering to. Just in case that’s NOT why you asked the UHHMM… Question….Quite Obviously, the 4th. is the 4th. and the 5th. is the 5th.

“Regardless” ....Thank you for your Input to this Post, and taking the time to “Notice” the ambiguity of my Statement. You have a nice weekend also.

Thanks Rick, the horse is quite fast, but the problem is just getting him going…

I made the response with a smile on my face, I knew exactly what you meant! And the 4th of July was for the exact reason you mention.

I took today off as well, and so far I am having a great weekend!

Thanks, and I hope you are too!
