Topic tags/keywords: formatting help

I opened my browser today and LJ shows up like it does on my blackberry, no background color, the logos all in a row one under the other, then the topics listed along the left side, top to bottom, without the template and formatting I used to see.

What happened? I refreshed, restarted, deleted cookies, history, etc. without success. Any suggestions? Help!

Never had a Blackberry but it sounds like it has lost it’s mind.

I’ve seen that on the droid, but it didn’t last long.

But this happens every time, all the tabs show up bunched together real close. I have to expand it to click on one.

Maybe I didn’t make it clear, this is happening on my computer, not the blackberry…

Using Firefox browser, don’t see a torn button, Woodsmith… ?

Go into view menu, page style, choose basic page style. Good luck

Sounds like you have a bad download of the css file and it has stuck. The CSS file contains all the formatting for the page. Without it, the browser doesn’t know where to put everything, so it stacks it all up in order.

Do a ctrl-F5 to force it to get everything new. This works for a Windows machine..not sure how to do a forced refresh on a Mac. If that doesn’t work, empty your cache.

I quit using Firefox to get to lumberjocks. I have switched to Internet Explorer. I had several problems here with Firefox.

My computer must have had a good night’s rest, today after clearing cache again, and the ctrl-F5, it brought up the page as it should have. :)

Thanks for all your suggestions, I can now look at the site again without scrolling down for miles and miles…

I guess it’s a whole other topic, but I sure enjoy using Firefox more than IE.

Just so you know the page style is what changes it to the problem you have so if you have the problem again that is most likely the solution

It doesn’t help your computer at all. I just think that they are great. I’m just putting in some humor. No offense. Glad you solved the problem.
