Previously, customers could get two hours of wireless access a day if they had a Starbucks loyalty card.
Bell, which is the Internet provider for Starbucks, also let its customers get online access with their coffee.
Access was also available for a fee.
Starbucks has 750 company-operated stores across Canada.
The Seattle-based coffee chain also plans to offer customers access to subscription-based online content in its U.S. stores this fall.
No Canadian plans have been announced.
