Topic tags/keywords: rockford documentation manual jointer question rustic

I am a noo guy at buying tools and woodworking, so I just jumped on an cheap 6” jointer, but with no luck in finding any docs to help me clean and adjust the unit.

If anyone has any info for me on a Rockford 6 inch jointer, model: 80-6100, I would appreciate it.

I think I was confusing the brand with a Rockwell model, but nothing on the web shows up for the Rockford… me thinks I have an orphan product from overseas. It might even be a homemade deal, I don’t know.

Any help would be great, including whether the brand changed name to another company, I can maybe contact them for archived info for my unit.

Help please, tks for reading.

p.s.: the fence is almost square to the bed (should be able to sort that out), but the end of the fence is almost 3/4 of an inch closer to the operator after the knives than at beginning before the knives. At least that’s all I see so far…
