Topic tags/keywords: festool sander tool tools power tool wood hand sander finishing sanding

http://us8.campaign-archive1.com/?u=31b0cbcd9fc227f3258915c63&id=822923f637

I don’t know if that link will pull up, but did you guys see the FESTOOL Sales on their new release sanders? My local Woodwerks Store is doing pre-orders with no limit right now.

When is Festool ever on sale? Let me know if that link doesn’t work. I am sure I can find another link on Google.

What gets me is that it is only $99. The ets125 that it is supposed to be an upgrade of retails for $195. Plus you get a coupon for $50 off another festool purchase. Are they just being nice, or is it a cost cutting move to move into a lower priced market with cheapened up products?

It’s a pre-order and heavy discounts are common in these situations. I’ve never seen a major tool company run a pre-order though. Most likely it’s a way to try getting newcomers on their system. Selling an inexpensive tool at wholesale pricing then offering a $50 coupon is likely to sell many vacuums.

I ordered one, why not? at that price it is in line with the “lower” priced models at the big box stores. I am sure the $50 voucher will cost me several hundred dollars though. Brilliantly devious idea on their part. So now I have to figure out what Festool is next, lol.

It’s my understanding they did a similar (but a little sweeter) sale on the ETS 150 when it was introduced, I don’t think this is unusual or signals a new wave of discounts for Festool products.

I ordered one, That is a great deal. Looking forward to giving it a go, if it is half as good as the Domino 700, I will be happy.

Thanks for that thread Rick. I pondered long and hard—at least 2 minutes—before ordering my sander last night. You’re on a roll, I also got a 4” carbide forstner coming for $16.xx (less than what was posted) on the way.

I may have to insulate my shop this winter—i’ll have tools to use, plus i’ll be banished there if I purchase another one!!

I keep waiting to get banished….........but instead I get asked, when am I going to go back out and work some more. My fear is that when I taker her up on that offer, then I will start getting nagged to come back in and spend more time with her and the kids. SMH. Can’t win for losing.
