A number of years ago I learned some valuable chisel & plane blade sharpening skills from Chuck Bender at his Acanthus Workshop near Philadelphia. As I’m now getting lazier in my old(er) age, I thought I might try moving from the 8” dry grinder on to a Worksharp 3000 for honing, rather than from the dry grinder to the messy waterstones for honing. Anybody else going this route? How is that working out for you? Thanks.

I change to the ws3000 several years ago and have loved it. I did a modification of it that stumpynubbs did, bought his plans and made the mods which add a lot of options and alternatives not provided as is. Here is the link. http://www.stumpynubs.com/homemade-tools.html
