Update: these have been sold.

I have a set of four Irwin/Marples chisels, size 1/4”, 1/2”, 3/4”, and 1”, for $30 shipped, or $25 if you want to pick up in the North Chicago area. The bottom side of each is flattened and honed with 0.5 micron (~30,000 grit) diamond paste, and each one has 30 degree secondary bevel with the same grit, so they are hair-popping sharp. These chisels haven’t seen much use—I’ve only had them for a few months, and I’ve since found that Japanese chisels are more my thing.

Buy these and save yourself the effort of setting up new chisels! If you’re also interested in the Buck Bros. smoothing “plane”/paperweight I’m also selling, I can combine shipping.

I’m not in the market because I already own this set, but would like to say that these are very capable basic set of chisels. Great deal too!

Message sent on these. It’s interesting that I have a 1/8, a 3/8, a 1 1/2, and a 2” set.
