This tree was just cut down near my house. I was able to grab a log before it disappeared. Anyone know what this is? I am in Denver, CO around 5400 feet elevation. Thanks!

Russian olive.

Nice wood, it turns a nice golden brown with only a clear finish, works nicely too, very clean with a router.

The only bad thing is it smells awful when resawing.
You should get some nice boards out of that, tight grain!
