This may be a premature post, I am not sure yet. I have bid a large 111’ of walnut cabinets. It will be an awesome kitchen if we get it. The customer told us that they are going to decide between us and one other bid they are getting next week. I put in a fair bid and hope I don’t get undercut but I think our bid will be very competative.
My question is, one of their cabinets will be bumped out (featured) and have a 1/2 round flute trim on left and right side with a corbel at the top of the 1/2 round flute and at the bottom we will do a bun foot just beneath the left and right 1/2 round flutes.
1. 52” of walnut 1/2 round flute, approximately 2” to 3” wide
We are pretty good at a lot of things but I must say I have no lathe experience and we do not have a CNC. I have looked online and I cannot find any trim types of pieces made from walnut. My suppliers I deal with use maple, oak, hickory, alder, cherry, etc… If anyone has a lathe and a CNC or just a lathe and maybe someone else has a CNC and would like to help me with a small weekend project, I would be grateful and would pay a fair price. Or if anyone knows where I could get such items out of walnut for a fair price, that would be great.
