Topic tags/keywords: dc dust collection reliant cyclone

Noticed this on craigslist yesterday. Anyone have any experience with a Reliant system? Or a similar DC in general? All I have is a shopvac now and have been doing a little research into a DIY cyclone system, thought I could use this as a starting point. Any suggestions?

Reliant are not known for high quality – although I personally don’t have experience with them as I kept shy of that brand.

regardless. this is one of the smaller portable units, and unless you are tight in space and can’t afford (space wise) a floor standing unit – I would recommend to stay clear of it and find something with a bit more suction power. these small units will quickly make you realize you need an upgrade. especially if you are considering DIY cyclone – you’ll need a much bigger motor ;)

if you ARE tight in space, and this is the last resort – they’ll perform as advertised.
