If necessity is the mother of invention… this tool needs to be “invented” by Jet!
The last episode of my sad story was that I was running through sandpaper at quite a pace. And, the sandpaper was about $6/unit! Everyone was so helpful on LJ with their suggestions. I thought I’d post my “solution” to the problem. I figured if I could only tighten the sandpaper sufficiently, I could manage to keep it “square” on the drum (the proverbial square peg in the round hole??). Even my small hands were no match for the tight quarters that Jet provides in there! So, I went to my local hardware store looking for short curve needlenose pliers. Of course, this hardware store has everything… but that. So we improvised… my friendly Ace Hardware man did the bending of the pliers and this is what we came out with. A note: it is better to use cheap ones as they bend better!! The second picture are the pliers in action.
Thanks to all who sent suggestions… here’s one for anyone who needs it.
