Topic tags/keywords: blade

I wrote in my thread about my new saw how the LOML almost bought me a Craftsman TS before I got my Hitachi, and it was a good thing she didn’t. Well, I didn’t write about the overly long discussion we had after that about how I never liked what she got me, and she always liked what I got her. As usual, I was wrong, but just to be on the safe side, I sent her links in several email to my virtual wish list.

Well, today the mail person dropped off a box from Amazon….. drum roll please…....

I opened the box, and just stood there, letting my eyes wander over…..... (sorry, first real tool gloat)...

My New Wixey Digital Angle Gauge!

I was so happy, I couldn’t believe it! She’s my Honey!

So I go to clean up, plastic bags filled with air for packing material and shipping inventory, put the box in Recycle, but wait, that box is a little heavy to be empty. White cardboard on the bottom, get the bags out of the way, it says …..

that’s right, at the bottom of the box is a Forrest Woodworker II blade for the saw! I was not expecting that at all, as a matter of fact, I had put that in there as a lark, thinking she would maybe get me a Freud, as they are so much cheaper.

Alright, now I feel better, I can calm down and go cook some dinner. Keep the faith, it will happen to all of you also, you just never know when.

My wife never buys me tools because she knows that I am picky and I have strong opinions about what I like and don’t like.

However, she has bought me some really great books and DVDs. Perhaps the biggest surprise was when she bought me a very nice collection of exotic wood veneers.
