Topic tags/keywords: router router table can it work

I was given a Bosch RA1171 router and currently have a craftsman router. However, I can’t seem to get any of the hole sets to line up (The directions only show a couple of brands working with it). Has anyone figured out a way to get them to work together? Could I just purchase a blank Kreg plate and drop it in?

Any help would be great. Eventually, I will build a router table, but I want something that can work in the short time.

Thanks,

-- Jeff, Tennessee

If the holes don’t line up you’ll have to get creative with a drill or get the correct mounting plate. Or run out to the Borg and buy a Bosch router, which is really better anyway.
