After numerous attempts to level the split angle bracket rails I decided to spot weld them into one piece. Setup this way was a breeze. Just thought I share my setup.

Now I’m having issues keeping the fence aligned on either side of the blade. I got it pretty close but it wasn’t a simple alignment.

I first had to align the fence on the right side making sure the fence pad was not on the left side square tubing and taking 2 measurement points along the right side square tubing to ensure the fence remained parallel to the miter slot.

Then I moved the fence to the left side square tubing and adjusted the square tubing so that the fence remained parallel to the miter slot. I took two measurements along the left half square tubing to ensure the fence remained parallel to the miter slot.

I am going to spot weld the 2” x 2” square tubing into a one piece tube. This ought to make the fence alignment easier.

After all this useless time spent in alignment, this entire fence will be removed once my Incra TS LS arrives next month. Sure wished Delta packaged the angle bracket and square tube separately and as a one piece system instead of a 2 piece.

Have your say...
