I am building a massive dining room table for a customer. With leaves, it’s 42”x120” and without leaves, closed, it’s 7’ long. I have purchased the glides from Rockler and they arrived yesterday. The concern I have is that the table top is 1 3/4” solid Ash and weighs about 200lbs so I’m wondering if anyone has used these glides for a table top of that much weight. As of now, the table top is still in one piece as I haven’t cut the leaves out yet. I also have not completed the structural part of the table yet as I was waiting until the glides came in. I’m posting a pic in the projects area showing what I’ve cut for the under-frame but it’s not glued yet, only the legs are complete. I still have to add some center pieces to screw to the glides. Any input would be appreciated, including design ideas to spread the weight. I had called Rockler before buying the glides and asked about weight limits on the glides and they didn’t show anything. Thanks in advance!
