My husband and a buddy are fixing up a boat. The hinges that hold the seats together are broken. Welding the hinges back together is a pain. have any of you seen this type of hinge before? They look like an “L” on each side of the hinging part.

Yep. Have a bunch of them on my old boat. I have some that are stainless and some that are aluminum. I am pretty sure they are faiirly common boating hardware. Sorry I can’t help with the weldign issue. -- Galootish log blog, http://www.timberframe-tools.com |

Yeah, they are common among boating hardware. I had assumed that the guys had done a minimal google search for the part before they determined they were hard to find and called me in on the search. |
