Okay here is a coffee table I’ve been working on for MYSELF! So it’s been work here and there on it but it’s almost all finished up, actually have a coat of oil on the top and main section. The top is veneered baltic birch wrapped with 3’’ miter walnut, the middle section is solid walnut, the drawers are 3/4’’ maple with the curly maple veneered to the faces.

I got 12 pieces of veneer from a piece of maple under 2’’ thick

My question is should I have drawer pulls?

The drawers slide through, one long drawer kinda thing, i was always planning to make my own pulls but now someone mentioned that I should not put handles on there really not needed.

So what do you all think?

I agree with Jim – they should be wood pulls, and have to be properly designed to match the piece while not taking away from it – as it’s already very balanced as is…

nice piece!
