Topic tags/keywords: router table saw extension install

Any reason NOT to install a router table extension on the right (as opposed to the left) of the table saw? I just bought a Vega 26 utility fence and just realized that it only cuts (moves) 8 inches to the left of the blade. As such, I won’t be able to use it with my router extension (currently installed as the left extension) (FYI- I plan to build an auxiliary router fence that will attach to the Vega fence). Any reason not to move the router extension to the right side? Thanks (in advance).

That’s where mine is located. Haven’t found any problems.

I believe that most router table are installed on the right side, not on the left side.
Mine is on the right side
