Topic tags/keywords: travel question visit

I have a question for all you LJers out there. Might seem a strange one, but my curiousity is up there.

I have been thinking about how nice it would be to take a trip for a couple days or a week once or twice a year to different parts of my country and our world and visiting some of the LJ members a distance away. Not asking for a commitment, I am not there yet when it comes to the financial scheme of things, but how many out there would consider playing host/hostess to a visiting couple for a couple days up to a week with no obligations other than providing simple shelter and an evening of fellowship? I,personally, can think of no better way to travel the world than spending some time with those I have grown fond of on this site. But, then again, I am pushing inconveniences on another.

I will start by saying that I have an extra room in my house and while my home is extremely humble, if a fellow LJer has a desire to visit the state of Michigan or the US in general, drop me a line and I will see what I can do in regards to helping you make my place a home base during your time here.

Just something I would throw out there,

Be great to catch up with an L.J. or two or more if they ever visit Australia. Welcome to stay, the natives are friendly and there is plenty to see and chat about.

David, as soon as my kids move out, hopefully in a few weeks, you would be much more than welcome to come for a visit. I’d even feed you and give you the wood to play with in the shop!!!
