The top photo appears to have been lightly sand blasted, possibly with an “air eraser” (http://www.paascheairbrush.com/products/airbrushes-airbrush-parts-and-accessories/Airbrushes/etching-and-striping-tools/etching/AEC) or a small sand blaster.

The bottom two photos most likely are oil finished like with Watco Danish oil finish or tung oil. Tung oil is an interesting product. It is an oil from the tung nut that is a liquid when applied and rubbed in but turns to a wax when exposed to air for a length of time. That being said, store it with as little air in the container as possible or it will turn to a wax inside the container. Fill the container with glass marbles, nuts and bolts, or almost anything to raise the liquid tung oil to the very top of the container before closing it. Or pour it into a smaller container.
