I found this link on another site I visit. I wasn’t too thrilled when I saw the length of the video, but when I started it, I couldn’t stop watching until it was over. Bill Jones is the turner, but he’s been gone since 2011. His tools arew interesting, especially the drive on his lathe.

Buying ivory here is so iffy here would not even think about turning it. Enjoyed the video though thanks for posting Jerry.

I’ve never turned ivory, but been in the same room as some being turned – had to go outside, as it smelled like something that had been dragged in by the dog !

-- When I was a kid I wanted to be older . . . . . this CRAP is not what I expected !
