Last night my daughter and I walked in this antiques store and right there by the door on the counter this Stanley Sweet Heart #3 was waiting for me.
I pay $15.00 for it .
It i is in almost perfect condition with the blade already polished and sharpened, I flattened the sole a little.
Which year is it?
What is special about “sweet heart” planes?

Well done, Bert’s daughter. I think SH was a commemorative line (it says 1919-1932) my jack plane is a SH. I like them because:
1) Cool line of tools
2) The hearts ‘cute’ up your handplane; handplane flair, if you will
3) There’s just something about a heart on a tool that amuses me!
Congrats on all your new old planes, Bert!

I’ll double your money AND pay the shipping!
You found a winner, for sure.
