Topic tags/keywords: humidor veneer glues

I have this idea for a humidor that entails my inserting a vintage cigar box label on the top. The exterior of the box will be veneer, so thickness of veneer and paper label shouldn’t be a problem. But I’m wondering what type of glue to use to attach the label and I wondering what will happen to the label when I apply my layers of top coat to the finished box. Does anyone have any experience or knowledge on this subject they can pass my way? Thanks.
