Topic tags/keywords: bosch radial saw miter guides cutoff axial space tools

i did a search but couldnt find this here on LJs….. here is a link to a newly designed compound miter saw from Bosch! LINK

they have removed the guide rails and replaced them with a pivoting ball bearing arms! looks like a pretty innovative design too me! also appears to save some space behind the saw, which is important for those of us with limited shop space. in this case you wouldnt lose the 10-12” behind the saw to the wall! Just and FYI for those who are interested!

I saw this on toolmonger and thought to myself: that’s a reason to spend $500 on a miter saw! I’m going to buy one when the 10” comes out.

thats about half the price i would have expected it to be, if one day my no-brand $99 miter saw dies then i will look for this one, or at least the 10’’ version if there is one. but my current saw has been used and abused for over a year and the damn thing just keeps going.

very cool. nice to see Bosch stepping up with lost of new designs that minimize problems, and make tools more efficient. this one might be the one that will make me get a MS.

Put me on the list when the 10 inch version comes out. It would be nice to have a highly accurate mitersaw that doesn’t take up a ton of space and doesn’t have the festool price tag.

I like how close to the wall it would sit vs the slider that I have now.
