As I was removing some shutters to paint the house, I disrupted the sleeping place of a small bat. I would like to build a nesting box or bat nest to relocate the little bug eater. Does anyone have a simple plan for a small bat box? I did not find a small simple plan through google and thought I speed up the search by asking here. Thanks in advance.

I did a little looking at bat houses. I don’t think there are simple ones. Takes a bit of effort and good location if they are going to get used.

My brother had lots of bats living under the rough cut cedar shingles used in the triangle space under the roof of his house. The gable area? Lots of room between the shingle spaces for them to roost and I expect the house was warm for them too. Anyway they really liked that space. If you had a garden under that space their droppings would be perfect.
