I just happen to see this and started me thinking maybe I should upgrade from my craftsman saw.i hate the fence on it. but anyhow my question is how good is it?they use the word contractor alot in the description, and wondering if it’s just a contractor saw with a cabinet base.If I could find a cheap unisaw I would go for that. but around here a well used and abused unisaw is 900-1200!

Pretty much. I hear the fence is serviceable.

It has cabinet mounted trunnions that mount to the front and rear support bars vs hanging from the table, but they’re not quite in the league of those that big beefy trunnion brackets that span from corner to corner. I haven’t really heard any significant negatives, or than the fence isn’t a Biese clone. A fence is a fairly simple upgrade. Solid cast wings, full enclosure, riving knife….looks like a solid deal to me relative to what else is out there for that price.
