Topic tags/keywords: question rustic pine

My wife and I take a trip a couple of times a year to Blue Ridge, GA and browse through the antique shops and stores. She spotted a rocker at one of the stores and wants me to build one. Now…...the rocker was pine. It was contoured for lumbar support; the back and seat were slats which were rounded on the edges. I took some pictures with my cellphone but don’t have any way to put them on my PC. If anyone knows where I could get some basic plans, I would be greatly appreciative.

Rocking chair, Jim. I need to build one as my wife is off her rocker. ;)

Thanks for the replies. Close but no cigar. I wish I had the stuff to download the pics from my cell phone. The back was not straight but contoured at the bottom for support; the back and seat were horizontal wood strips with rounded edges. The strips were about 3/4 in. wide. The rest of the body of the rocker was pretty much plain vanilla with no cherry or whipped cream.

Have your say...
