I am new at lumberjocks,and a beginner woodworker, I’m interested in buying hand tools, last week I went to an antique store and I found a jointer plane, it doesn’t has any name only mark as M7, can anyone tell me if is a good plane who’s the manufacturer?

Hi Clada,
Sometimes those can be a real bargain- as long as you take the time to tune it up, clean it, etc.
Be sure to take it all apart, clean the frog and make sure it is burr free. Also, clean up and tune
the lever cap. I would definitely recommend changing the blade and chip breaker to a Ron Hock
model. Can make an old plane better than new :) Good luck!
