I thought I’d share a time-lapse video of Monks creating a sand mandala over the course of 6 days by painstakingly placing millions of grains of sand to create these beautiful works of art. I’ve never seen this spirtual art form before. Simply incredible!

I’ve watched Hopi Medicine men do similar things, though not nearly as elaborate.

I understand the meaning behind why they do, but its still a shame that they have to destroy the Mandala’s shortly after finishing them.
