Today I received an email saying congrats on my 8th anniversary being a LumberJock. I don’t know where all of those years have gone but I sure have enjoyed sharing and learning on this great online community and of course a huge amount of friends I’ve gained through my membership here. Thanks to the person who created LJs and to the folks who now monitor and keep the wheels turning behind the scenes & and all of the great friends who contribute all of their great knowledge so that we all may gain valuable woodworking know-how and inspiration.

You are definitely a very helpful contributor. Having joined earlier this year, I am a bit addicted to seeing new projects and learning from the various forum topics. The LJ community is great!! Are there ever “family reunions” when LJ gather in person?

Effingham- I spent a week there one night when the train from Memphis transferred passengers to the train to Harrisburg. Then the PRR train broke down.

I too an am Illinois boy! ( Chicago) LOL! 8 years? A lot of welcoming? Thanks for your suggestions over the years. Good to see Charles here. He was the guy who suggested I check out LJ’s.
