Topic tags/keywords: vintage hammer germany

Hey Guys, I recently bought an old hammer from an estate sale, and need some help identifying it. I found some similar hammers, but they aren’t the one that I have. It is definitely a vintage silversmith hammer, but I don’t know the maker. The one I bought came without a handle, and came with a metal wedge for the handle too. It says “33” on the top, and it says “Germany” on the side with an arrow. The arrow seems to be going through an “o” or something along those lines. I will include pictures below. I was also wondering if it would be more valuable selling it as is, or mounting it on a vintage American Hickory handle I bought from the same guy (although it is much too large for the hammer it seems). Thank you in advance!

That is a 6 going through the arrow,

You might be better off asking on a blacksmith forum, or try contacting Wranglerstar on youtube, he repairs these old things. Has some great videos as well.

Good luck.

Have your say...
