Topic tags/keywords: question humor

My wife asked me this a while ago and when I counted them up I was a bit surprised even for myself:

Hickory China Cabinet for the dining room
Walnut Dough box for downstairs
Tiger Wood Jewelery box for my wife
About 20 keepsake boxes at various stages of production
New base for my work bench
Bed frame with drawers for storage under the bed
Butcher block cutting board
Mantel for the fireplace
Steam box
Mini Steam box

I bought a new table saw last month and that caused me to have to rebuild several things:
New Outfeed table
New crosscut sled
New miter sled

For a grand total of 32. I think I’ll go start remodeling my wet bar today..

WOW!
I’m lucky to have two going at once. And, no I can’t walk and chew gum!

By design, I usually have 2 or 3 active projects going on at one time. That gives me something to do when I am waiting for glue to cure or a finish to dry. It also gives me some variety of work in the shop. Usually one of the projects is a turning project.

I have over 40 projects on my long term “to do” list and with some of them I have done some preliminary work but they are not an active project yet.

Greetings,

I have no projects going at this time….. Been down with a bad back here lately.
I build one project at a time, I do it the best I can, and then I move on….
I never plan ahead of the project I’m working on at the moment…...

too many to count ,
what with the house and shop ,
being on the list as well .

working to get the money for them ,
seems to come first ,
whenever it comes along !

I have MANY projects going.
I reach a point with one project and may become bored or reach a stalemate with a build issue.
I set it aside and start something else.
Then one day an inspiration for one of my benched projects will hit me and I am back at it.
Sometimes it is better to wait than to push forward and totally mess a project up.
Just how I am.

I try not to think about it and just keep moving foward, I know I’ll finish my list the day I die. I just keep thanking the Lord for the resources and ability.

I have several and not enough time in the day to get anything done. :) I think by listing them it helps. I have 9 unfinished projects. My wife says that I am a 90%er (Complete 90% of the project and leave the 10% for another day).

I agree with Rich… having 2 or 3 gives you something to do while glue or a finish coat dries. But other than that, I really like to focus on what I’m working on presently. Having 10 things or more going… none of them would get my best effort because my mind would be going in too many directions. (That’s just me personally…. I’m not criticizing whatever works for you.)
