Topic tags/keywords: delta t3 jet xacta ii fence table saw fence

Hi all-
I’ve got a Powermatic 66 that came with the Jetloc fence. I didn’t really like it for a variety of reasons, so as a stop-gap, I put the Delta T3 fence from my old saw onto the PM66. I’ve got a few small complaints, but nothing too terrible.

HOWEVER, I’ve found a Jet Xacta ii Fence new-in-box with 50” rails (I’ve currently only got 30” rails!) for a steel of a good price. I’m wondering if it is worth doing the upgrade?

From what I can see, the advantages to me:
1- non-aluminum fence faces, also likely FLAT fence faces.
2- Less dependence on the rear rail
3- (Very minor) The longer rails would mean I could use my TS to split up 4×8 sheet stock rather than using a circular saw and a board.

Thoughts? The reviews of BOTH on LJ seem about equally positive, but I’m wondering if anyone has experience with both?

Bigger is usually better.

The Xacta II is nearly identical to the PM Accufence. Both are made from larger dimension tubing with thicker gauge steel….the Xacta II is beefier and more heavy duty than the T3, though they’re similar design concepts. I’d go with the Xacta II, and would sell the T3 if you need to offset some cost.

Great, thank you for this! The Accufence seems to be incredibly expensive, and I’m hoping to get this Xacta 2 for ~$100. Just gotta find what to do with my 2 spare fences after this :)

Have your say...
