I have an old Rockwell contractor’s saw that’s been finnaky since I bought it.

Tonight I was cutting some 45 degree strips for french cleats, and I noticed the line cut line wandering. :(
At first I thought my wood was warped or something until the blade disappeared.

Turns out the height adjust is lowering by itself during the cut!! :((

Tomorrow I’m planning to pull it apart and see if anything looks floppy, but…
Has anybody else experienced this and have a tip of what in particular I need to look for?

Thanks,
-K

Tighten the lock knob in the center of your height adjust hand wheel . . .
