Hello again.

I have a chance to score a brand new, still-in-the-box Jet the ProShop fence assembly (fence and rails) for only $90. Retail for this package is about $350, according to what I’ve seen online.

My question: Is it possible to install this fence and rail system on a 1995 Emerson-made Craftsman contractor saw? I have model 113.299315.

I realize I’ll likely have to drill new holes in the cast iron top of my saw, but it should be possible to fit the fence to my saw, right? The Delta brand T2/T3 aftermarket fences can be installed on just about any type of contractor saw and those look to be very similar to the Pro Shop model.

Thoughts? Suggestions? Experiential advice?

Thanks, fellas.

It’s definitely possible. As you mentioned, you’ll likely need to do at least some drilling. Cast iron should drill pretty easily with a good sharp bit. Small pilot holes help, and some machine oil won’t hurt to keep the bit cool. It is indeed pretty similar to the T2. $90 is a great deal….$350, not so much. Should make for a really nic setup. Enjoy!

Because you bought it? And if not, you’re on your way to buy it?

Supposed to pick it up tomorrow. I was hoping for some guidance before I did the deal, but I guess I can’t go wrong. Right?

Have your say...
