On the internet you can find several schools that offer 3 – 10 day woodworking courses. Comments, both good and bad, from fellow LJs that have attended these courses could be very helpful if one is considering going to one of these courses.

I would like to attend a course that guided me in making a first class rocking chair during the duration of the course. I would like a class that allowed me to take my intermediate level joinery skills up another notch by building a challenging project.

Geographically, I would like a school within a day’s drive (600 miles) from my home in Iowa.

Do any of you have experience and/or recommendations?

I would love to attend a school but the cost is out of my budget. I’ll just have to rely on my LJ folks.

Here is a fine gentleman who has a shop about 45 west of Indianapolis. Maloof style rocker featured on his web page but I know his skills could help you make any style of rocker.

Woah. This place is pretty cool. I’d love to learn some of the things I see here. Sadly, I don’t have the cash flow for it.
