Well I went dirt bike riding in the bush the other day, It was such a lovely day for it too. There was little or no wind, and the Autumn weather was perfect- cool to start and warming up to reach the late teens. Blue sky over head with the birds busily out and about, roos jumping across the track and the last of the butterflies scattily flying out of the way. and….. well to completely just ruin the day…...I came off. It was a pretty specky one too.
Cant remember how it all transpired, but enough to say thank god for all the safty gear I was wearing on the day. The bike is a right off, got all bent & twisted, (not really to look at but when you really check it out). Really just not worth getting it fixed.
Thankfully it was all the bike and not me. I got off pretty lightly actually, nothing broken just really sore where I fell on rocks etc. Head needs to rest up too, it’s was pretty shaken up. New helmet on the “to buy list” now. More expensive one I think – have to protect the most sensitive bit! : )
So It looks as tho I will have to stay out of the shed for a while, enough so at least I can think straight. Dont want to have a major accident inn there. But at least it isn’t in the middle of no where, with no phone etc!

Soooooooo I will now have to leave it up to you guys to entertain me while I recover. I really enjoy all the projects to enspire and guide me.

Oh man, that sounds like a bad one, Theresa. I’m glad you didn’t break anything, especially out on your own far from phones. Maybe you’ll find lots of new ideas here as you heal up.

Sorry to hear about the spill buddy but glad to hear you are OK. Another reason to cull the kangaroo numbers. Wise to keep out the shed for awhile and we look forwarded to when you get back.

All good wishes from East Yorkshire Theresa., We’re just setting of for The Dales on the Honda and the sun is shining. Temperatures have risen above ‘chilly’ too. We’ll take care!

Hope you recover soon! Pappy always said that time away from the work we need to do is dangerous indeed!
In fact we always seem to need to rest up after we get back before returning to work. :)

You know I really wasn’t expecting any responses at all. But I really appreciate everything everyone has said. It makes this one of the best sites, as it is like one big family- even tho i haven’t been here that long. : ))

Thanks

Glad to hear you are in fine shape after your spill. My nephew was a Hound and Hare cross country racer. National Champ one year :-) He broke his neck one time. My sister hated to see him riding his helmet across the desert at 80 mph. Or hitting the finish line at nearly 100 mph and having to lay the bike down to get stopped :-)) Gotta be careful on those things!!
