I have a blue Jet 10” contractor’s saw and have been unable to find a manual. I have found the manual for the same but newer white model with stock # 708100.

It states that the 708100 has a 5/8 arbor diameter and can handle a dado set of 13/16 and an 8 inch blade.

Can anyone confirm that the 708471 has the same statistics?

Many thanks.

Don’t own one, but if I couldn’t find the manual for my saw online, I would call the manufacturer… I bet they would know…

Odds are good that the Jet has the same arbor length as most other contractor saws like the GI 50-185, Griz G0444, etc,or even most hybrid saws. My GI contractor saw and Craftsman 22124 hybrid saw could handle a full dado stack if I left the arbor washer off. As long as the arbor nut can be fully seated with threads protruding all the way through, that’s a safe and recommended practice.

My grizzly saw handles a full dado stack like a pro. But like the above poster said I have to leave the arbor washer off. But in my opinion it doesn’t change performance at all. I dado all day long

I have the Jet JWTS-10, #708471 model. It’s blue. It will hold a 13/16” dado stack easily. I leave the washer on for up to full stack. I use with Forrest Dado King 8”

BTW, if anyone has found a manual for the OLDER MODEL of this saw, I am interested in buying a copy. I can’t find this anywhere. I need to do a bearing replacement on my saw and would love to have an accurate parts diagram.
